Almost success. Almost love. Almost seen.
Lucky Tyagi
Set against the emotional and academic turbulence of college life, 34/100 is a raw, unfiltered story of a boy chasing success but repeatedly falling short by just one mark—literally and metaphorically. From football fields to late-night study sessions, stolen glances to heartbreak, this novel explores the invisible weight of unmet expectations and silent struggles.
About the Author
Lucky Tyagi is an engineer by qualification and a storyteller by instinct. An alumnus of NMIMS Mumbai with a degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Lucky blends logic with lived emotion in everything he writes.
Born into a military family, he grew up with the ideals of discipline, resilience, and purpose. A recommended candidate for the Indian Air Force, Lucky once dreamed of donning the uniform—but life had other plans.
His journey from defence prep rooms to corporate offices shaped the unique emotional lens through which he sees the world. In 34/100, Lucky turns his own experiences—and those of countless others—into a narrative that is equal parts vulnerable, relatable, and powerful.
Why Read This Book?
1. A Voice for the Silently Struggling
This book speaks to those who’ve quietly battled self-doubt, failure, and the pressure to “succeed.” If you’ve ever felt unseen despite trying your best, 34/100 will feel like someone finally put your thoughts into words.
2. More Than Just Marks
It’s not about scoring 34 out of 100—it’s about what that number represents: the heartbreak of falling short, the weight of expectations, and the ache of always being “almost.” This story dives deep into the emotional world behind academic numbers and social masks.
3. Relatable. Raw. Real.
With characters that feel like your friends and moments that mirror your memories, this is not a typical coming-of-age tale. It’s about the quiet in-betweens—between success and failure, love and loneliness, fitting in and standing out.
About the Book
34/100: An Edge of Almost is a heartfelt coming-of-age story that captures the emotional turbulence of youth—the battles no one sees, and the dreams that always seem just out of reach.
At the heart of the novel is a boy who’s always on the brink—of success, of love, of being understood. He scores 34 out of 100. Not a pass, not a complete failure—just close enough to hurt. He studies hard, plays football with passion, falls deeply in love, and laughs with his best friends, Rohan and Nikhil. But despite it all, he keeps missing something… by just one step.
Told with honesty, empathy, and quiet strength, this story is about silent resilience, near victories, and the hope that lives in “almost.” It’s a book for anyone who’s ever felt invisible despite trying their hardest—who’s ever been told they’re not enough.
Because sometimes, almost is where the real story begins.
